- IISER Bhopal and Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Center Bhopal signed an MoU on June 07, 2024, for working on “Automatic Tumor Contouring Using Artificial Intelligence for Accurate and Safe Radiotherapy”. The initiative was led by Dr. Tanmay Basu from the DSE Department.
- IISER Bhopal and Gandhi Medical College Bhopal signed an MoU on July 31, 2024, for working on “Artificial Intelligence for Identifying Haemorrhage in Brain CT Scans”. The initiative was led by Dr. Tanmay Basu from the DSE Department.

- Dr. Vaibhav Kumar has research collaborations with The University of Melbourne for developing AI-based solutions for extracting information from earth observation data.
- Dr. Vaibhav Kumar has research collaborations with the National University of Singapore for developing solutions from street view images.
- Dr. Tanmay Basu and Dr. Vinod Kumar Kurmi have research collaborations with AIIMS Bhopal Radiotherapy Department and Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital Bhopal Radiation Oncology Department to develop deep learning solutions for automatic tumor delineation.
- Dr. Tanmay Basu and Dr. Vinod Kumar Kurmi have research collaborations with AIIMS Bhopal Sleep Lab to develop artificial intelligence techniques for the early prediction of sleep apnea.
- Dr. Tanmay Basu and Dr. Vinod Kumar Kurmi have research collaborations with the Radio-Diagnosis Department at Gandhi Medical College Bhopal to work on automatic hemorrhage detection in Brain MRIs using artificial intelligence.
- Dr. Jasabanta Patro has research collaborations with the School of Computer Science & Engineering at UNSW for developing neural models that can effectively detect hate, sarcasm, and humor in Indian languages.
- Dr. Vinod Kumar Kurmi has collaboration with Northumbria University Newcastle, UK to analyze the Psychological aspect of LLMs.
- Dr. Akshay Agarwal has several research collaborations both at national such as with IITJ, IIITD, and IITD, and international such as SUNY UB USA, and Lehigh University USA to develop fair and trustworthy computer vision and biometric systems.
